Our Business is to make your stay in Cold Bay a memorable one and to continue to provide the friendly, dependable and quality service that we are known for.

The Bearfoot Inn Alaska is located in Cold Bay, approximately 634 miles southwest of Anchorage. It is an important hub for surrounding villages and home of the Izembek National Wildlife Refuge. Known for its salt water lagoons and fresh water ponds, the Izembek Refuge is home to thousands of shorebirds and waterfowl, which include Pacific Black Brant, Canada Geese, Northern Pintail, Mallards, Widgeon, Green Winged Teal, Ptarmigan,  Steller’s and Common Eiders, Scaup, Scoters, Golden Eyes, Buffleheads and Long Tailed Ducks.

The Cold Bay area also boasts some of the best sport fishing holes on the Alaskan Peninsula. From June through mid October our local streams and rivers provide you with Dollies, Char, Steelhead, Pinks, Chums, Silver, Red and King Salmon.

Last but not least, Halibut is plentiful right off the dock or we can arrange a short bay trip just 5 minutes from Cold Bay.

Not into birds or fish…well this area is also known for its abundance of caribou, bear, fox and wolf.
